It is with joy and gratitude that we announce the Wendy Marie Noteboom Ewell Art Scholarship for the College of Design at Iowa State University.
Through the generosity of the many who loved Wendy, we have raised over $25,000 to endow a scholarship for arts students at Wendy’s alma matar, Iowa State. The interest on this endowment will be used to provide a scholarship to a deserving student every year, forever.
We are deeply grateful that you have helped us to honor Wendy’s life and great artistic spirit through her scholarship, and doubly grateful that this comes in time for the first anniversary of her death.
Wendy Marie Noteboom Ewell drowned while on holiday in Mexico, on July 8, 2005. She was 30 years old.
You can still contribute to Wendy’s scholarship fund at Iowa State. Simply visit this link and click on “Make a Gift Today” to give online. Wendy’s paintings are still for sale, but only to those who knew her. Signed prints are still available. All money from these sales will go directly to her scholarship fund. We hope to have more prints made, though of course they will not be signed.
Wendy’s life brought light to all who knew her. We are pleased to leave this website of her light-filled paintings up in her memory.
